Welcome in to another edition of the Wolverine.com TV podcast, Doug Skeen. I know you're going to make fun of this, man. I can't help it laugh because I'm trying to think about how I'm going to be directing traffic here. You know, Flight 1040, you're clear for a landing. Yeah, you look like a professional air traffic control. That is what it is, man. So welcome on in, though. This is Doug Skeen, Michigan's former All-Big Ten offensive linemen. This is our live show. Looking back at the Colorado State game and some interesting subplots coming to light here, Skeen. And first things first, though, overall impressions. I know you watched the game again this morning. And the offensive line, Ryan Hayes did not play at left tackle, precautionary from what we heard folks. So nothing really to be concerned about there. At the end of the game, though, you had Trevor Keegan play in the left tackle, which I thought was interesting because Carson Barnhart goes down with an ankle injury. Don't know how serious that is, but you know what? You have six offensive lineman, you're down too. So now you've got a young guy in G.O. El Hottie playing at guard.

I'm going to ask you about him, Skeener. And then Keegan, it left tackle, but it was leaky at times. And overall, I wrote, it certainly, you know, if you are defending your Joe Moore Award, you know what, it wasn't a great start. You still ran for 234 yards, but some room for improvement.

1:13.6

Well, first of all, the positives, right? Ballas, they scored a ton of points.

1:17.6

Over 200 yards of rushing. For the most part, protection was good.

1:22.6

The ball went out of there pretty efficiently, but no doubt,

1:26.6

week one, there was definitely some

1:29.0

room for improvement. I saw some quarterbacks getting some pressure. I saw a sack,

1:34.3

albeit that was one time, certainly with the young, young offensive tackle there at the

1:39.4

right side who gave up a short edge. Keegan at left tackle, clearly had a little issue with the spacing.

1:46.2

Left guard is not left tackle from experience.

1:48.3

I can tell you there's a world of difference over there.

1:50.0

So, you know, again, it's week one.

1:52.8

These things are expected.

1:54.2

They're normal.

1:55.3

Of course, our expectations coming off of last year with all the returning starters

1:58.7

in this offensive line are sky high.

2:01.4

So, again, the rules don't change, right?

2:03.4

Ballas, the expectations.

2:05.3

No one touches the quarterback ever.

2:07.5

You don't pressure the quarterback and, you know,

2:09.7

you try to run for 152 and the yards of rushing every week.

2:12.9

Those are the expectations.
