So they don't call them big uglies for nothing.

But anyway, Doug Skeen five-time, all big ten, five-time big Ten champion, all big ten offensive linemen.

Skeen, waited his turn, became one of the better linemen Michigan's ever had.

And I'll say this, Skeen, your offensive lines, and I've said this many times about the early

1990s lines, some of the best lines overall, but some of the best

run blocking lines for sure. I put this line up with that one, even though they've got had

several different combinations. They had, there were some chinks in the armor though on Saturday,

weren't there against Illinois. In 1917, Michigan win that was tougher than expected.

And for a couple reasons.

Number one, Illinois came in prepared.

Brett Bielma had his team prepared.

We'll talk about his crying about the officiating here in a minute.

But number two, Michigan had several starters out.

And once again, including your left guard, Trevor Keegan, Giovanni El Hadi went in there.

It was a bitter day, brother.

But those guys, there were some shinks in the armor, like I said, weren't there?

It was a bit clunky at times there at Ballas and absolutely watching the offensive line perform against a pretty doggone good defensive front and specifically defensive line.
