Thank you for joining us for another Tuesdays with Trey.

It's been a sobering couple of days.

We had another mass shooting this week to go along with the one the week before and

the church shooting the week before.

And if you go to even a rudimentary search of mass killings, not that they didn't exist

before, you know, before I was a kid, but they are so much more prevalent now for our kids

and our grandkids.

So violent crime is on the rise generally.

We're just coming out of a pandemic maybe or maybe we're headed back into one who knows,

but it's been the roughest stretch.

And frankly, I'm not prone to the pression, but it's all pretty depressing.

So I want to talk to an expert in psychology to at least try to understand where we are

and how to help others and how to help ourselves.

Kevin Gilliland is no stranger to this podcast.

He's not a stranger to my television show.

I've known him since we were teenagers.

He has a doctorate in psychology, a side of my memory serves me correctly, majored in

psychology undergraduate as well, equally important for this conversation.

He's a father.

He's a husband.
