I just got this alert as the more and more conversation, I guess, surrounding the Baker Mayfield trade to Carolina earlier today.

If we were worried, or you were worried at all, because I was hoping that we were going to have a nice quarterback competition there in camp OER.

Because Carolina has no intention to trade Sam Darnold, despite landing Baker Mayfield according to ESPN.

Here we go, over two and a half quarterbacks starting for this team this year.

I cannot wait.

Just so interesting to me, Nick, because maybe this is the problem of trading with Baker Mayfield to begin with.

I just look at it from this point of view.

Maybe I'm not giving Baker Mayfield mentally enough credit, but he just seems so fragile to deal with like, if there is a real quarterback, I'm going to call it a challenger competition.

If he enters camp, and Carolina is serious about, no, no, we traded for Baker Mayfield, but no, we traded a lot for Sam Darnold too, and this is a quarterback competition.

I don't think that Baker Mayfield handles either a close competition or one he's losing in front of camera as well.

I think he would fight back like a baby.

I think if you make the deal for Baker Mayfield, unfortunately, he's not the kind of quarterback you deal with and think that he accepts a competition.

There are certain positions in the NFL where you can be a little bit more of a wild card, a loose cannon, whatever description you want.
