Welcome to the Bob and Sherry show.

Now, here's Bob and Sherry.

It is the start of a different kind of week for a lot of people listening to this show,

including all of us and our families.

And we are sending our thoughts and our love and our prayers and our hopes to all of the people in Florida,

upstate, South Carolina, Georgia,

Western North Carolina, and Eastern Tennessee that have been absolutely hammered by Hurricane

Helene. And I want to start with a little bit of good news, if I can. So Heather, our Heather,

y'all know our Heather, pink-haired Heather that you see every week on Happy Hour.

Heather's best friend, Shelby and her husband, live just outside downtown Asheville in a little neighborhood near a creek.

And Shelby went missing when the storm hit Asheville.

And Heather was not able to, no one was able to get her. There was no

self-service. There was nothing. Shelby's mom was distraught and out of her mind as you would be.

And, I mean, missing person report was filed. It was really dire. And I woke up yesterday morning, just sick at heart,

bracing myself. And Heather reached out to me at like lunchtime and said, we got a text. She's safe.

They're stranded. They're stuck. But they're safe. And, you know, there are a lot of people and a lot of families who are waiting for those texts and those calls right now.

And it's just been, it's just been a time.

Like, I don't have power still, believe it or not.

And I'm not even in the path of the thing.

But some critical piece of power equipment that serves my area of the city

got hit. And so I don't have power, but Kevin has a generator going. So, you know, I'm able to work

and we're able to keep the refrigerator going. But Lamar really took it. Can you tell everybody?
