I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And the Lakers dropped a pair of heartbreakers over the weekend that went down to the final minute. They were heartbreakers for different reasons, both games without LeBron. The first was

a furious comeback in Charlotte that fell just short, led by Russell Westbrook had 30 in the second

half, was his best scoring half as a Laker and really a great performance, but came up short there.

And then the Lakers played so well for, gosh, it's been such a story of so many games.

Their league leading 11th double-digit blown lead falling to the Atlanta Hawks who have

been playing well and scored with ease down the stretch.

There was a decent amount of good to take out of these last couple of games, and maybe

there will be more of that discussed in tomorrow's pod, maybe not.

I want to talk about some of the bad and some of the, something that I think has plagued us in a way

where, Darius, the ability to keep your head above water is something that's becoming

increasingly important over the last couple of seasons in the NBA.

I think that NBA teams are resting guys more during the regular season. I think the playing

in tournament adds an additional couple of teams in each conference that makes each regular

season game a little bit less important.
