Maybe you or someone you know has even donated a toy or two over the years.

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program is as familiar a part of Christmas

giving as those Salvation Army bell ringers.

It's heartwarming to think of the underprivileged children made happy by Toys for Tots.

And Toys for Tots has a very simple mission to collect donated toys for children who might

otherwise receive none at Christmas.

The playthings of holiday dreams have certainly changed over the years, but one thing has

remained the same for generations. A special toy under the tree on Christmas morning can make

a child's wish come true. The more than 75-year success story of Toys for Tots may seem like

a fairly simple story.

The Marine Corps Reserve, being a trusted and influential organization, starts up a holiday

charity for needy kids.
