Good evening. Thanks for joining us, Buckle up, because late today, yesterday's presidential

0:05.1

flip flop on Tuesday's flip after Monday's flop on taxes or tax cuts got flipped yet again.

0:12.0

That's right. Follow along. Yet another about-faces yet more evidence of a slow economy comes

0:16.6

to light. According to Maggie Haberman and Peter Baker, the New York Times, even some

0:20.3

people who once were closely with the president are now voicing concerns that he's acting

0:24.0

more erratically. I'm quoting now some former Trump administration officials in recent days

0:28.9

said they were increasingly worried about the president's behavior suggesting it stems from

0:33.0

rising pressure on Mr. Trump, as the economy seems more worrisome in next year's election approaches.

0:37.9

tax cut now. So the bottom line is here's where things stood. When we left, you last night, the

1:04.2

president had just taken tax cuts off the table after putting them there the day before.

1:09.1

And early this evening, Larry Cudlow, his top economic advisor put them right back.

1:14.9

We're looking at what I sometimes call tax cuts 2.0 to improve the long-term growth of the economy.

1:24.2

So to clarify again the tax question, there's no reason why we shouldn't be. In fact, we are

1:32.2

developing again tax cuts 2.0. We're touching base with all the key people in the administration.

1:39.8

But Larry, it seems that the president took 2.0 off the table yesterday. Well, he didn't.

1:45.7

Well, he did. We have the tape. Look at it again.

1:49.0

I'm not looking at a tax cut now. We don't need it. We have a strong economy.

1:55.0

So if you're keeping score, that's four flip flops in four days.
