Today we're going to keep things pretty simple and we're going to address a bunch of listeners questions

episodes. Okay so let's get right to it. We're going to go to a message about

barrel lengths and suppressors and magnum cartridges. This is from a listener we call Brandon

and he wrote I'm a new hunter. I've been listening to your podcast for the last

couple months leading up to my first hunt earlier this month.

A spike camp in Idaho's Frank Church wilderness is a great trip, but nobody came home with anything.

I have a SIG cross in 308 that I took on the hunt and came home realizing that the areas

where I'll be hunting elk will likely require shots in excess of 300 yards, more than I think my cross rifle is capable of.

Now that I'm back from my trip, I continue to listen to past episodes of yours trying to learn as much as possible. I recently

listened to the episode two rifles to do it all and as a result of that

episode I'm convinced that a rifle in 300 wind mag would be a good compliment to my SIG cross.

I have a dead air nomen TI suppressor, titanium suppressor.

I use on the SIG and that I want to use on the 300

wind mag. You suggested in a different episode that going down to a 22 inch

barrel on a 300 wind mag would be doable for use with a suppressor.

I'm really interested in a higher-end production rifle with carbon stock such as the
