Media Hey, everybody, welcome to back it up with Hammer Lane Legends. This is Jack Merkel. I'm here to wind back the clock for you all, as I always do for the Back It Up episodes. But first, I'd like to say thank you to all of our veterans and those who have given their time and their lives to serve us, to say, you know,

basically keep us safe and provide the freedom and liberty we have in this country.

It's definitely something that I think gets lost on us at times, but as we are coming up on

beautiful, what it looks like, supposed to be a beautiful weekend here in the Northeast.

You know, we forget that we're actually supposed to be remembering those who have

given their lives for this country, for the freedom and liberty that they've provided

for us and for other countries as well.

And it's just if you know anybody in your family, any dads, grandfathers, uncles, moms,

grandmothers, whoever it is in your family or friends that may have served, spent time

and dedicated their lives to protecting us, I'd just say I'd invite you to, you know, give them a call

or get in touch with them and just thank them for what they've done. It's a sacrifice of a lot of

things. You know, it's funny because in our family, we've had two people who have served in the

Navy, my uncle and my grandfather. And it's,

it's something that it does take a lot out of you, just from the experiences and the time that

we've, you know, obviously spent in conversation in the short time that I was able to get to

know my grandfather and just be able to hear, you know, what the Navy and

his time and service had done for him. The character had helped build. And just the selflessness

that you kind of have to have to be able to go into something to serve and, you know, have a desire for something that's greater than yourself,

you know, to protect and to, and to serve and to give us, you know, sort of the freedoms,
