In this segment of BACK IN THE DAY we will be talking about the FDNY Windsor Hotel Fire of 1899. On St Patrick's Day 1899, while people were gathered below to watch the parade, a fire destroyed the hotel within 90 minutes. In all 86 people lost their lives , many jumping from windows watched by the horrified crowds. We will be joined by FDNY Legend Paul Hashagen Res1cue who has done extensive research on this fire and included it in his new book "Young Heroes". You DO NOT want to miss this one.
