I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And after our long week without Lakers basketball, we're back. We got games this weekend against the Detroit Pistons and the San Antonio Spurs. And guys, I can't

remember any stretch in over the course of my fandom where we've had this much time off.

And I remember when I was coaching, certainly very different than the NBA. One of the things I

always lamented was I wish we had more practice time. I wish we had more film. The pace of the season,

the games happen so quickly that a lot of what you learn is actually in games. And so a break like

this is a bit of a gift. And so before we start on the games this weekend, Mike, I'm curious,

what do you know about what we got done over the course of this last week?

Well, it is like a mini training camp in a way.

And it's a reset.

It's a focus on what are the things that this team is built upon considering what the personnel is.

And we know what that is.

We know it's their defense and the aggressive defense.

And then it's right now, as LeBron works his way back it's anthony davis being uh this just really impressive paint presence and i'll let darius who wrote about that for today's three
