Kaid did you ever see the 2002 film the rookie starring Dennis Quaid?

I have yeah and a lot of times on Tik-Tocks I'll get served like like one minute movie clips

and I get a lot of The Rookie and kind of makes me want to go back and watch it again.

Yeah, it's kind of like a weird sports classic in a way.

It's based on the true story of a dude named Jim Morris who debuted in Major League Baseball at age 35.

So, you know, I'm 36.

And it's funny because I saw this film in theaters when it came out in 2002 and at the time 35 seemed like

How old were you in 2002? Pretty fucking old. Uh, was a it was a was that like 22 years ago? So 14 okay. So you still had aspirations you know

pitching the the major leagues probably you're like oh like I won't have to worry about

this because I'll just yeah probably this is before I started smoking pot refusing to cut my hair so so yeah

probably but I just 35 when I was 14 seemed

quite old like that was that was a grown man you know not to say that I'm not a grown man.

I think he probably was like way older than 35 to you when he like got that role.

Oh yeah, Dennis Quaid looked like he was like 45, 50, yeah, yeah.

But anyway, I don't understand why this never happens in real life, like why doesn't it happen more often than an old dude just says fuck it and goes pro. And this came up because I was playing basketball
