Summary

In the penultimate episode of Fingers Crossed, Sierra & Kristee discuss a relevant topic that is on the minds of many mid-twenty somethings: maintaining friendships in different life stages.  What do you do when three of your friends are married with babies and you're just re-entering the dating scene? What if you're busy in a 9-5 career and your friends are all working part time with tons of free time? Do you settle down? Buy a house? Work hard for that career promotion? Run away and work on a boat in Australia? Your 20s can make it really hard to relate to your friends sometimes, but the gals of Fingers Crossed are here to help.

Hello, everybody and welcome back. We are here, your host, back for another wonderful week of Fingers crossed podcast.

0:17.7

We're so happy to be here with you guys today. Honestly, I'm like even more

0:21.9

energetic than usual. And I think it's because lately we've been recording on Sunday evenings with our

0:26.0

schedules and everything. And this week, it was even harder to find time in our schedules.

0:31.0

And so we are currently coming to you on my lunch break from work in the middle of the day.

0:35.8

And Sierra hasn't even started her day.

0:37.9

So she's here at 8.36 in the morning, work starts at 9.

0:42.2

Work will probably start more like 930 today, but that's okay because we work from home.

0:47.1

Yeah, Sunday I was disgustingly hungover and I could not record with Christy for full transparency. I texted her and I was like, I don't even think I can sit in a chair. Like I have to be horizontal. Afternoon. Oh yeah, it was like 3 p.m. I was so sick, y'all. I don't know if you've ever been that hungover, have you? I have. I'd say probably three times. I can think of,

1:11.3

they were so traumatic the experiences that I remember them vividly. But anyway, I've never been

1:16.8

in that situation where I've been like hung over the entire day. Well, I didn't used to be.

1:22.4

When I was younger, I could bounce back by like noon. But no, I, when I get hungover these days, at my ripe age of 26, I,

1:33.2

I'm almost 27 in like three weeks. Yeah. I get very sick all day. And I really don't feel better

1:42.0

until I can go to sleep that night and wake up the next day.

1:46.5

That's awful. It's really bad. And so that's why I don't drink as much anymore to like a level of

1:51.8

like super partying because I, my weekends are so precious to me now because I only get two days a

1:56.5

week that I don't want to ruin an entire day for the sake of one fun night. And granted, the night was

2:02.4

super fun. Let me just tell you a little bit about what I did. We want to catch up. We want to see

2:06.6

what Sierra's been up to the last two weeks. Honestly, if you were in my shoes, you probably, I mean,

2:12.3

I can't speak for you, but it was the perfect storm to have a pre-hangover. That's what I'm going to say for getting drunk.

2:19.0

Anyway, we went out to Alyssa, my sorority little, she's one of my best friends and one of my bridesmaids.

2:25.3

She had her 26th birthday party.
