The second book is titled Self-Portrait,

but it details her existence kind of adapting to living in rural Oregon,

can you just go through the backstory?

I mean, both books will be republished in 2021.

Talk about your background and what led you to make that decision to buy 80 acres up in the kind

of central eastern forest of Oregon.

Well, I was orphaned at an early age.

My father died when I was nine,

and my mother died when I was 14.

And the night she died, I laid in bed wondering,

where am I going to be the next day, the next week?

I couldn't even fathom thinking about where I'd be in one month.
