Al Tukes and Jerry Recco are here with some sports news and updates they didn't have time to cover. Here we go! It's the Boomer and Carton Postgame show with Al and Jerry. All right, here we go on the podcast. It's a Monday. Where have you been, Al? Oh, hi, Jerry. I've been, uh, hiding in my home and, uh, eBaying things, putting things on something called the let go, the let go app. You've been doing great. Not been doing great. |
| 1:28.2 | I had one big score, but other than that, my stuff is worth nothing. |
| 1:34.0 | All right. |
| 1:34.5 | So you found out you're worthless. |
| 1:35.9 | And then here's the other thing I found. |
| 1:37.2 | I haven't used eBay, Jerry, in many, many years, many years. |
| 1:42.7 | Many years. |
| 1:43.6 | Many years. |
| 1:44.8 | I thought eBay was simple, which is you sell a product. |
| 1:50.4 | Let's say you bid, you were the high bidder, Jerry. |
| 1:53.1 | You send me a payment. |
| 1:56.0 | I hustle my little behind down to the post office. |
| 1:59.8 | I write out a address where I'm shipping it to you. I put it on their scale. I weigh it. They tell me what it costs, and off it goes. Sounds about right. No, no. Everything's done electronically now. So you have to print a label. You have to. You have to know what it weighs before. |
| 2:18.0 | I don't know what it weighs. How would I know what it weighs? That's why I go to the post office. Right. You don't have the problem with doing it that way is you're approximating things. So if you sell something that's got a good UPC code, you can actually get all that information. The problem is when you're selling rare, unique things like you did, you have no idea. |
| 2:37.6 | No idea. No clue. So I sold, I forget what I sold. I sold something, let's say about a month ago or so. And I had no idea what it weighed, and I just kind of approximated it. Now, I got some good money for it, but I lost half the money because I was so far under with the shipping. I mean, I blew it. I charged you got like $9 and the shipping was $27. And I went to the, I'm like, how much? Yeah. I'm like, well, that sucks. So I totally understand your point. Yeah, can I just go to the post office with my packages? But then Agena tells me, well, then they can't track it. |
| 3:09.7 | Yeah, you know that you can. You send them the tracking number. That's what I'd always do. All right. That's what I'm doing. It's enough with the post office. It's enough. I'd rather everything's easier just throwing everything in the garbage. That's what I've found, Jerry. My garbage bells right now are jam. |
| 3:24.5 | Yes. |
| 3:25.5 | Oh, this is funny. |
| 3:26.6 | Right in the trash, everything goes. That's what I've found, Jerry. My garbage bells right now are jammed. |
| 3:24.5 | Yes. |
