Asul follows the journey of a woman named Bluebird.

She leaves her home to travel to a new world and there she has a daughter, Rita.

Rita becomes a composer and through her music she tries to reimagine the

motherland that she never knew.

The musical's inspiration comes from a concept album by an

Argentinian musician Hasinta Cluseyas. The album was called El

Pajaro Asul, the Bluebird, and it was one of Hasinta's major projects after she left Argentina, more than

a decade ago to study at Berkeley School of Music in Boston. Seve when Mies Plouments.
