to Pilot Podcast. My name is Justin, and I'm your host.

Today I am talking with Steve from his Instagram page, AZ Trooper.

You guys have pretty much spammed my inbox for last month to have me do this episode and it took us a while with their schedules as aviation normally does, but we finally got it done. I interviewed Steve a couple weeks ago and today is the day that we are sharing it. It is just so crazy to

think that he went from being a regional pilot at 20 to furlough at 22 to state

trooper and then he went to becoming a Virgin American pilot and all in a very short amount of time.

And it's just crazy to think that that is someone's journey in his career and just how you never know what can happen.

And you always have to have kind of a plan B thinking of what you could do if

aviation doesn't work out or if your dream job doesn't work out because as we

talk about before there are many many times where your plan for your careers

does not work out and Steve's kind of path is kind of one of those being

further to something that he didn't plan on but he made the best of it he made the

best of a terrible situation and now he is probably flying a stream job and for a

company that he would love to fly for.

Guys, some of the other things that we talk about in this episode are how Steve

started training when he was just 12 years old, how he was able to solo on his 16th

birthday, why Steve chose the airlines over a four-year degree, and

we go into specific detail about how Steve went from regional pilot to being furloughed to

state trooper and then back to an airline pilot.

It is just a crazy story and is one that I'm very excited to tell.
