And now, here's your host, Emmett Kennedy.

0:11.7

Welcome to your weekend preview and your guide to the best of the racing live on ITV.

0:16.6

We've got Jamie Wren subbing in for Peter Michael.

0:19.4

He's not going to be here next week because he's going to be off on holidays, is Jamie.

0:22.4

So he's stepping in to give us his top tips for the weekends racing. Andy Newton is here as always on the Thursday alongside the great George Gorman. Looking forward to their analysis. Let's get into it. The first race we're going to begin with is the feature race at Newbury, the Mill Reef Stakes. and we saw an extraordinary performance on debut

0:36.7

from Into the Sky for Jim Boyle.

0:39.1

Not normally a source of first-time-out winners,

0:41.1

but this horse absolutely bolted up by seven and a half lengths from Darkshore. What was impressive about that was Dark Shore was having his third run on his debut. Words of Truth beat him by five and a half lengths. So for Into the Sky to do that on debut, pretty impressive. What do the boys boys think? Jemmy Raine makes sense of a really interesting running of the Mill Reef. Yeah, I think it's a tip in itself, really the one I like, words of chute, because why the approach is not coming here? 1:12.7

Mara Stencer was in that as well.

1:14.6

Finished close next to Mara Stanchard.

1:17.5

Then, obviously, won, then was Geldit, then won at Ascot,

1:21.0

the beating New Monarch, and then wins the last day at Newmarket.

1:27.6

Sorry, excuse me, beaten Watch the Snoop who's in here by two and a quarter lengths.

1:31.3

Into the sky, I think got a soft lead.

1:33.5

Fair play to me, 80 to one winner.

1:35.9

But I'm all over words and truth here,

1:40.7

with the fact of the matter that they've chosen this instead of wise approach for me.

1:43.1

It's a race that Charlie Appalbee has never won before,

2:01.1

but he was going to run Shadow of Lice, the horse whose name shall never be mentioned on this podcast again, because we told you he was an overrated hype job, but he surely would have won this race a year ago. He did go on to win two Group 1. Say again, George? I've still got the Gile on right now. You can keep that Gle, George.

2:02.7

You can keep that Gleazy again.
