Summary

One of The New York Times 'Biggest Breakout Stars of 2019', Ayodele Casel, a tap dancer and choreographer, is our special guest for this conversation with Lee. Born in The Bronx and raised in Puerto Rico, Ayodele began her professional training at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her origins in theater and love for storytelling and tap dance have significantly contributed to the narrative nature in her work, which is rooted in the expression of identity, culture, language, and communication. She is a 2019-2020 fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University, where she is the only tap dancer. In this episode, Lee and Ayodele cover a wide range of topics that include: her passion of elevating others, creative expression, systemic racism, and the 'artist's hustle.' They discuss her 2020 take-aways, how that has led to her wanting to amplify her work, and the impact she wants to make in her art form. Ayodele shares more about her fellowship at Harvard and Operation Tap, an online forum and educational resource for dancers, students, teachers, and choreographers she created with two other founders. As a brilliant creator, she believes, "There is no shortage of ideas if you make yourself available." To learn more about her work: http://www.ayodelecasel.com/ Diary of a Tap Dancer: https://www.radcliffe.harvard.edu/video/ayodele-casel-diary-tap-dancer Operation Tap: https://www.operationtap.com/ Join Lee for his annual online workshop, REBIRTH 2021, beginning January 19, 2021. In 6 days of live teaching (delivered over 10 days), Lee will guide you along the path to releasing 2020 and welcoming the very different energy of 2021. The experience includes: an exclusive channeled recording, wisdom from Lee's guides, The Z's, Qigong with Steven Washington, a live Q&A with Lee, access to discussion boards, transcripts of every session and special bonus content.
