But first, old wounds leave new scars in the Wolf Hunt, the fourth novel from the award-winning

Israeli writer, Ilet Gundar Goshen. Also a clinical psychologist and screenwriter, Gundagosian's

previous novels One Night, Markovic, Waking Lions and Lyre,

have won multiple awards and been translated into multiple languages, all blending thriller-esque

plots with astute moral complexity. The Wolf Hunt is her first novel set outside Israel, and

when I spoke to Islet on the line from Tel Aviv, I asked her why this time

she turned her attention to a Jewish immigrant family living in Silicon Valley.

I thought there's something really interesting in the experience of immigration, because

in some way I think many Israelis today, though they live in Israel, they have another life,

which is the American life, the life that

they're living in front of the television, the life that we live in cinema, the life that
