Summary

The guys wrestle with a Topic Tuesday from Adam W., who is angry at his AWD system. Is AWD a safety feature, or is it made irrelevant with modern tires that are correctly suited for the job? Then, the guys debate two coincidental stories that are so similar they could almost be written by the same person. For Car Conclusions, Jay with the hammer is back with a report, and André in LA loves MINIs so much it’s a good thing they got bigger. Audio-only MP3 is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and 10 other platforms. Welcome back everybody. Happy Tuesday yet again. We are back with yet another podcast of everything.

0:36.6

There's actually a lot of news up front.

0:38.3

Yeah, there is.

0:39.3

Two very similar car debates, frighteningly similar from two different people.

0:43.3

Two different emails wrote in and we went, really?

0:45.3

The similarities are uncirking.

0:47.3

It's shocking.

So there's that good actual topic Tuesday in front of that that gets me down the road into tires, which is just my

0:55.4

favorite little side thing. So we're doing that. We're talking about your questions, lots of

0:58.8

stuff. So let's dive right in. We've got news up front from Ford who has announced the 2026

1:04.5

Dark Horse SC that was announced just yesterday as of this recording. It has the V8 from the Mustang GtD. I'm wondering if Ford

1:14.2

has decided that the GtD is not for everybody and maybe more people want a piece of the GtD.

1:20.7

They have to know that. So they invented a new dark horse version and have tested it apparently

1:26.9

at Sebring and VIRR so that it uses the gtd engine

1:30.9

that 5.2 liter v8 they have not announced horsepower they said it's somewhere between 500 and

1:35.5

815 which means it's somewhere between the standard dark horse that you buy and the gtd that's nice

1:40.2

of course it is so it'll be powerful fast and i'm guessing probably way about the same as the GTD. I hate to say it. It's just a heavy car. I don't know that they've solved the way. It's a 4,000 pound car. But what I do like is the styling is better than the GTD. I think the front clip, the front end on this car looks actually better than the GTD. The GtD is of course be winged. It's its own animal.
