Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement and I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

I think that we have to acknowledge that it takes a while for children to mature. In other

words, they're not cookie cutters. You can't just follow a formula and spit them out. Children

are going to go, and this is what I want you to know, everybody. It's hard. It's so hard

to raise children who are virtuous and who love the Lord. It means they're going to push

against you. It means they're going to roll their eyes. It means they might tell you

things like I've been tempted to commit suicide or I thought about women in a lustful

way or what I in other words, what I want to want you to know is that these are all very

normal things and we need to be there to walk them through it. We've always talked together

about if there is a prodigal, what was the story about Jesus? Why did he tell that story?

He was saying, and then Jesus talked to the Pharisees and the Sadducees and told them

a story. He's with these people who had very legalistic underpinnings. They were thinking,

if you just keep the law, then everything will be okay. But they didn't really love God.

And so here's Jesus telling the story and he says, and this young boy rebelled and he went

away and blah, blah, blah, blah. But guess what Jesus said? But the father, and he was

picturing, I think, in that particular instance, the father was God. The father was the one

going after the law sheep. The father was looking out for the return of his son because he

loved his son. And I think it gets back to what Regen was talking about is that I think

that if we studied the heart of Christ and we look from Genesis to Revelation, that truth
