I was struck while watching a video about the second Persian invasion that the Greeks could

have saved themselves a bit of trouble if they'd attack the Persian engineers while they were

building the 0.75, 3 quarters of a mile long pontoon bridge

over the hellespont seems like that construction project would have been hard to miss so why not

attack before it was concluded might have a better use of leonidas's spartans we'd love to hear you

speak about how the bridge was built how the construction was defended and why the greeks missed

this opportunity to destroy
