if I can indulge upon your knowledge, if I may. Of course you may. Did ancient Greeks and Romans,

or any of those in the classical or Principate times, fight with their cloaks or Chalmers's

on? Also, did Greeks or other warriors fight in bare feet?

Yes indeed.

And I don't normally hark back to my own stuff.

But oh gosh, can I remember what issue it was in some time ago, pre-COVID.

So 2019 or 2020, I wrote an article about the-plight cloak in the 5th century BC which was essentially yes they did fight with cloaks and in fact there's lots of different coins which show hoplites using cloaks even wrapped around their left arm with a with a shield or without a shield.

And it seems that there are multiple sort of techniques where it's kind of like what you get later in the 16th century sword fighting,
