I do love the Battle of Isis, Alexander the Great against Darius, had a big argument with someone the other day about whether

it's Darius or Darius.

I always learned Darius as the Persian king's name, but, you know, people today use Darius.

But Darius to me just sounds like a modern name.

I've met several Darius's, one, two, and three.

No, but to me, it's Darius. But to me, it's to Rice.

But anyway, we'll get to that.

the Macedonian phalanx struggled and even lost ground against Darius's mercenary Greeks.

I was under the impression that if facing off

directly the Sarissa wielding phalanx would be in an advantage with their longer spears,
