Hello and welcome to another episode of the ancient warfare magazine podcast.

My name is Jasper Oathouse.

I'm the editor of the magazine.

And with me today, I'm Mark McCaffrey, Mark DeSantis, and Murray Dom, the assistant editor

of ancient warfare.

And today we're going to discuss in this last episode of 2023, one of probably the most

long anticipated episodes or editions of the magazine, 166, about Alexander Great.

We finally gone and done it after ending last volume,

volume issue 15, 6.

So ending volume 15 on Macedonia Rising and the rise of, you know,

the rise of the kingdom and Philip the second.

We now get to his son and we're looking at the early phase of his great campaign,

the invasion of Persia.

We may have accidentally skipped sort of the bit in between where he consolidates the kingdom

and goes north for a bit, although we've had an article about that.

We've had articles about Alexander the Great in the past, so here and there, though not

that many.

That's the first time we actually dedicated a whole issue to him.

Oddly enough, we only have very few questions for this podcast, but I have no doubt that

we will be able to fill an

hour or so without any trouble whatsoever.

There's no more questions about Alexander because we've actually answered them all.
