And as you can see, or here in a second, I'm just with Mark at the moment.

There's a couple of reasons for that.

One, this is another in-betweener, so the latest issue of the magazine isn't quite ready. So last month we did the discussion of themes.

More news on that anon. We've decided, almost decided what the themes for volume 17 will be

exciting plus. And secondly, the reason that this is slightly odd is that Mark proposed that he would chat to me.

So I'm also the subject, which is a little bit strange.

So having said welcome and lovely to have you listening, downloading, watching even,

I'm going to hand over to Mark, who's then going to talk to me about me.

This is, however, the first time that I'm going to be hosting this episode, taking the lead.

And I'm gratified to have this opportunity because we have a real treat for you to go around.

My esteemed colleague, Murray Dom, has been writing brilliant book after brilliant book on ancient military history topics.

And in its high time that someone talked to him about his work and how he goes about crafting such smashing titles.

Murray's most recent effort is Byzantine cavalryman versus Vandal Warrior for

Ospy Publishing, which just debuted this past May. And I wanted to get in touch with Murray

and see how does he actually go about writing such work? What are the nuts and bolts? What's it like? So, Murray, first
