start affecting Trans-Pacific flight. So this is the Shavuch volcano in in Russia on the Kamchatka Peninsula, the one that erupts, and I don't want to say, frequent basis, but has erupted and has been

cause for concern before. It's a cranky volcano. But this time it's erupting and the ash cloud is in fact impacting flights.

It hasn't halted trans-Pacific traffic by any stretch of the imagination.

So this is an interesting situation where natural processes and geopolitics are getting in the way of aviation or impacting aviation in a major way. Because the volcano is located on the Kamchok Peninsula,

and if the eruption goes east,

it impacts more flights than if it had you know if the winds had carried it

west but the prevailing winds are carrying it east it's hitting the jet stream

so it's starting to impact a lot of flights.
