Hello Jason, I'm doing well. The weather has turned rainy but it is no longer freezing so we've exited third winter and I believe we've entered mud season here in Chicago.

Oh that's great here in New York we're probably one day behind you as usual so I look

exactly tomorrow yes we're sending it your way as we like to do it's it's my

pleasure it's it's what brings me joy it's is literally the least I could do, which is, which is about, you know, about where I'm at today. How are you doing?

It's been one of those days where I bounced around from meeting to meeting

today before the podcast and then kind of thought it was like collecting my thoughts

and I was like what what just happened? Well this is hopefully going to be the best

meeting you have today. Talking with you is always the highlight of my day.

We've got a good show mostly updates and a bit of new stuff. A couple things did in fact happen this week that are new, but mostly updates on things we've talked about over the last couple weeks.

And I guess we'll begin with an update on the China Eastern Airlines 737 that crashed in China.

Both the cockpit voice recorder and the flight data recorder have been

recovered. Both of those, if I'm not mistaken, both the the CVR and

FDR had separated from their housing. So the data recorders are crash

resistant, hopefully crashproof, memory modules are basically this hardened steel canister

and it's attached to a base plate that contains, among other things, an emergency locator beacon if indeed the aircraft crashes into the water

that activates and then hopefully the recorders can be found independently of the rest of the

aircraft if need be.
