Welcome to Searchlight. A survey through scripture with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a

systematic study of the entire Bible chapter by chapter book by book.

Have you ever misunderstood a situation or have you ever been misunderstood? The results can be ugly. There can be strife and

anger and bitterness and it's all unnecessary because it's simply a

misunderstanding. We are learning a good lesson about this in our study of

Joshua chapter 22. On our last program, Pastor John shared with us how the two and a

half tribes on the east side of the Jordan River built an

altar that caused some big problems. They built the altar simply for a

witness of their linkage to the other nine and a half tribes.

But when the rest of Israel heard about it, they assumed it was a rebellion against them and against God,

and they gathered together for war.

As we join John today for the continuation of this study,

he will share with us several important lessons

that we can learn about avoiding altercations like this.
