if you've ever wondered what it might be like if you didn't have to commute to work, nine to five

own couch in your pajamas? Well, that might be a little bit of a stretch. But there are sites out

there that do legitimately cater to people who are confined to their home or simply prefer to work

remotely. And I'll get to those. But a scary truth is in this digital age is that some work-at-home gigs that promised big payouts are actually big scams.

Let me tell you about Abigail Gimble.

She's a 22-year-old landscaper working freelance jobs in Loveland, Ohio.

As she tells us the story to her local ABC news station, she just wanted to make some extra money

so she turned to the internet and found a $25 an hour home bookkeeping job, advertise on,

get this, of all places, a state-sponsored website. What followed was something Abigail never expected.
