And today our guest is comedian, writer, actor and director Avital Ash, friend of the

show.

Avital is going to talk to us about being raised orthodox Jewish, she's going to tell

us about some of the many rules she grew up with, what she did and didn't believe, and

how her upbringing affected the way she sees the world now and the way she feels about

herself as a woman.

We're also going to talk generally about ritual wrestling with God, cherry picking rules

from childhood, the function of magical thinking and a lot more.
