Ava thanks for joining us. Hey nice to have nice to have you. You can tell how long

a night it's been for me. Yeah. Thank you for having me. Let's start that over. What time did

you get to bed, Ava, after the news broke? Um, I went to bed at around 130 and I've been

up since around five. Wow. So obviously the big news is that Michael Winger is being hired

as the new president of monumental basketball. This went down last night. Was this a name

that you had been hearing mentioned for the job prominently or were there were there other

contenders that that missed this top job. And he also now has to basically hire a GM to oversee

the wizards. He looks like the the big overseer of the mystics wizards and the go go. Correct. Yeah.

So so that title kind of president and GM was thrown around a little bit. But that's mostly

because of what I was thinking when I was hearing because in order to interview a lot of other GMs

and get permission from other teams you have to say actually you're being interviewed for promotion.

So to kind of get someone at that level to even talk to them you have to say okay we're going to do

a title bump something like that. So I didn't realize that it was going to be this kind of overarching

role which isn't that uncommon throughout the NBA. There are a lot of president GMs. Michael

Winger worked under one with the Clippers. He was kind of the guy who looked at contracts with

the negotiations and Lawrence Frank obviously a former NBA coach over there did the talent

evaluation and kind of more building the roster. So it's going to kind of be flipped in Washington

where Ted Leon says wants him to hire again that complimentary skill set but that person is going to

report to Michael Winger and then you also have the sports medicine staff reporting to Michael
