podcast. Welcome to the latest episode of our new Top 10 series where we look back at the best

and worst, but mainly the best, of F1 history over the last 75 years. And we've got a different one. We've had tracks and teams. And this time we're going to focus on cars. And we're going to look at the top 10 F1 cars that didn't win a championship, either a constructor's title or a driver's title, which is, I think, quite an interesting way to look at it. We often focus on the greatest cars, don't me, the ones that win multiple championships and multiple races, but there are plenty of great designs that didn't quite get over the line for one reason or another. And to help me through my list is Maurice Hamilton, who has written a book. I'm going to get it out here. I can get the plug in early, Maurice, this one. Formula One cars, the greater F1 cars, is 90 and 50 to the present day. And the reason I'm interested about this one is that none of the cars on my list are in the book.

So this could be an interesting discussion.

So I mean the book, to be fair Morris, it includes a lot of championship winning cars.

That was your focus, wasn't it? I guess the great designs for the book.

Yeah, the basis for it was the car has to have won a Grand Prix, not necessarily a championship, but provided it's won a Grand Prix, and it's a significant car, it should be in there. So, for example, the March 701... That was one I was going to pick you up on. Yeah, I knew you would, is in there because it won't go on pre-

I mean, the whole story is absurd.

But anyway, yeah, that's why that's there.
