Hello friends, happy Monday. I hope your weekend treated you well. Today is another

author's corner check-in where I update you on what the heck is going on behind the scenes.

So grab yourself a coffee or a cup of tea

and let's catch up. Starting with today's rose bud and thorn. My rose today is that I have

discovered the peppermint mocha creamer from Chibani. If you've been watching vlogmas, you saw my

genuine first reaction to tasting this creamer,

and I'm in love. I'm officially in love. Here's the thing. I want to like sweet stuff. I want to.

I want to get like a sweet coffee drink and be really excited about it. But every time I do it,

I regret it. I told the story on the vlog,

but I ordered a peppermint mocha on Thanksgiving and I couldn't drink it. I was like,

this is way too much for me. I can't have it. So I was, you know, a little disappointed with

myself when I impulse bought the Chubani creamer because I, in my heart of hearts,

I felt like, you know that you're not going to like this. You're buying this because the

packaging is beautiful and you're a sucker. You're a sucker for it. But then I ended up loving it.

So, you know, sometimes an impulse buys a win. My thorn is that this has just been a bit of a stressful week, personally, not really something

I can, I guess I can talk about it a little bit later, kind of lightly, but life has

been stressful, which makes working a little bit hard when your job is to be creative.

So that's been tricky, but also we're in a good

spot. My bud is that when you are listening to this, we are in Portland. As I'm recording this,

we are two days away and I am so excited. I travel alone a decent amount, but I don't get to travel with my husband a lot. So

this is a trip for him for his birthday and we get to go together and I am thrilled. Now,
