For those of you that are, this is your first time this weekend,

I don't have time to go back and summarize,

but we've been talking about the authority that God

gave us.

And basically, one of the, here's a way of summarizing it is that the Old Testament Saints

looked forward to what God promised, but it wasn't a reality

yet.

And they related to God differently than you and I do, or let me rephrase that differently than what we're supposed to do.

The sad thing is most New Testament Christians still live like an Old Testament Christian.

They weren't Christians but an Old Testament saint. Most people haven't made

the switch to the New Testament and man that's a huge statement right there and one that a lot of people

can't relate to but that is powerful and it's absolutely true.

For instance we will often sing these songs from Psalms chapter 51 where David, you know,

after he was reproved of his sin with Bashiba he said creating me a clean

heart old God and renew a right spirit take not your holy spirit for me and he was

praying that God would give him a new heart and take not his

Holy Spirit and we sing that in our churches today. Most of you've probably sung

that song. Do you know what that's terrible? It's terrible.

Somebody said well it's in the Bible.
