Hi guys, thanks for having. So you just wrote this book and it's called Life

Undercover. Tell us what it's called Life Undercover.

Tell us what it's about.

Well, it's really a personal coming of age story,

but I happen to come of age not only

against the backdrop of the war on terror but while undercover working

counterterrorism for CIA overseas and got married and had my daughter while I was

doing that work and so you know in some ways it's a story of figuring out who I was and what my work was in the world and the way that every 20-something-year-old does.

And then at a kind of more macro level, it's the story of the war on terror

through the eyes of the 20-some things who were fighting it at the agency.

And I think sometimes we forget how young the intelligence and military officers who are

tasked with this work are, especially in the intelligence world,

the longer that you're out working,

the more your cover gets eroded.

So the kind of counterintuitive thing.
