He went on to write some of the most important work about the culture and history of hip-hop.

His latest project We Going Be All Right is a little bit different.

It started as a book in 2016 and wanted to talk about racism in America today.

Big topics like racial segregation, in housing, entertainment, and education.

It's back now as a four-part video series on YouTube by IndyLens Spotlight.

And a lot has changed in the last few years.
