I'm Mina Kimes and my dilemma is I have the cutest, smartest, most charismatic dog in the

world, but he's not good with strangers and yet everyone who sees him wants to pet him

and when I tell them no, they're really insulting.

Oh, well, I know plenty about dogs that can leave something to be desired when it comes

to interacting with others. My little chalk banks has been through several

behaviors and spent them on the way to training facility and he still can't be trusted with

pretty much anyone except for my husband and me. He wears a muzzle on walks or when we

have people over because even though he's we like to say 98% awesome, the 2% screw loose

is no bueno. And so like Lenny, he's god damn adorable and everybody wants to hang out

and snuggle him and it doesn't work out. He's got a giant head and short legs and a little

squeezeable body, which makes it really tough. There are some solutions, of course, for

every day. Like if it's strangers who are trying to pet Lenny without asking, you can

get him one of those bandanas that says do not pet or one of those vests that says don't

touch. Or I know a muzzle looks scary, but it's actually better and safer for everyone

if he's actually potentially going to bite people or other dogs to get one of those. If

it's just friends who are bummed that they can't snuggle with the famous Lenny, you just

got to go tough love on him. You just got to let him realize that like any other celebrity

will just have to watch and admire Lenny from afar. It's tough, but it's just like, you
