could be no such provider. Instead, she found her way through traditional apprenticeships

and trusting the call to serve women in a way that felt safest with mothers at the

center. Lily shares how her own birth was a journey into darkness, and we discuss birth

attendance as shamanism and how to say yes to that deep calling.
