Summary

Novak Djokovic was Boris Becker-like in his presence in the Australian Open semifinals on Thursday night, and despite a spirited Roger Federer fightback, it was Djokovic who reached yet another Grand Slam final.

David Law is joined by Telegraph Sport's Simon Briggs to talk it through, before going on to discuss the journey of Johanna Konta, which finally came to an end at the Australian Open in the semifinals. Plus, Serena Williams was a destructive as ever.

And, with Andy Murray due to take on Milos Raonic of Canada, we hear from Murray's coach of last year - Jonas Bjorkman - and Carlos Moya, the man guiding Raonic in 2016.

The Tennis Podcast is produced in association with The Telegraph.

Simon Briggs, as always, is here with me and Simon, we're just digesting what we've seen from Novak Djokovic.

1:01.0

I don't know whether you agree with my assertion that that is as good tennis as I think I've ever seen for the first couple of sets.

1:08.0

That was just unplayable.

1:11.0

Yeah, it seemed like everything Federer was doing was in slow motion for him.

1:15.0

He was kind of like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix, you know, he just seemed to be able to freeze frame, pick his spot,

1:21.0

and just pop the ball into the corner where Roger wasn't.

1:25.0

He almost didn't seem to be even straining.

1:28.0

It was all coming so naturally to him. He was in the zone, and actually that was something which gave me a cause to wonder if he might be challenged,

1:37.0

because as soon as you come out of the zone, it's quite evil to go back into it, and he did come out a little bit in the third set when Roger played some genius tennis of his own.

1:44.0

Then the roof closed, but in the fourth set he just found the moment to put his foot down again.

1:51.0

The fact that he served first, no given him an advantage, and unbelievable penultimate game of the match featuring the rally of a tournament in which there were lobs and volleys and recovery shots and a backhand pass from Federer to finish it off.

2:04.0

Even that didn't quite get it, given the boost that he needed to eat, he missed two first serves, and he was broken.
