Now, actually, Mark Priestley's supposed to be here, but he's actually still on a flight here. But I've done a little bit better than that. I've got the reigning world champion. The man with the number one on his car,

Lando Norris. And now Lando, I know you said that it doesn't change anything, being world champion, but there's got to be some perks to it. A couple of freebies, new car, new watch. What are we talking here? Free meals? No, I've got a new strap on the watch. Okay, yeah, I like it. A bit pink. Yeah? Otherwise, it, I mean, yeah, there's perks.

There's good things away from the track, but it doesn't change me in any way and it

doesn't mean I'm going to go out in qualifying in the races now and just be quickest or anything.

Yeah.

So, no, the only thing that's going to make me continue to make me happy is performing well, winning and qualifying on pole and all those things. And that's got nothing to do with what numbers on your car. Quite right too, but we're going to be watching you with great intrigue this weekend. Well, I think the world is on eyes going to be on Formula One to see how things stack up, because nobody really knows anything, but how do you feel you've had two tests in Bahrain? Where do you think McLaren stack up? We're towards the top. I certainly think we're in the mix with the top four teams, being a Red Bull Ferrari, Mercedes, and ourselves. In which order is the big question. So yeah, again, no point predicting these things.

We have to wait and see. We'll do our best, get the maximum out of our car. That's always a big thing, especially with how the regulation is now.

And there's so many opportunities of just focusing on yourself and not listening and caring about what others do. So that's our job.

Biggest challenge to get your head around with these new cars.

You mentioned all the regulation changes, energy management is the big talking point.

What's been the hardest thing so far to kind of adapt to?

Lifting makes you go quicker.

Yeah, is it a weird sensation to do that?

Yeah, because you grow up thinking more throttle means better, but that's not the case anymore, so.
