Summary

Day One at this year's Australian Open wasn't a classic. Rain delayed much of the action and when the avalanche of matches finally took to court, they weren't exactly thrillers. But Catherine, David and Matt still had plenty to discuss as they recorded on 1573 Arena at Melbourne Park.

0:49.0	Relative to hype and pumpedness and general vibes leading up to Islam,
0:57.8	the vibes today have just been extraordinarily flat for various different reasons.
1:03.7	And I'm absolutely certain that the opposite will be the case tomorrow.
1:06.9	The forecast is good.
1:07.8	The order of play is absolutely wild uh tomorrow but today yes they got
1:14.5	blighted by the weather but they also put on an absolute dud of an order of play to open the slam and
1:21.5	matt and david you needed thomas mahatch to rescue things and he did. Yes. Of course he did.
1:28.1	Yeah, he did.
1:29.1	And so did Somit Nagal to some degree because he started to mount a fight back.
1:34.7	And I decided to sit amongst his legion of fans for the closing stages and very much enjoyed that as the people around me seem to be trying to face-time the match live to people elsewhere.
