I saw that over the weekend on the Saturday edition of the Today Show, one meteorologist had a cough coming on and she did her best to fight through it.

Well, our friends out west have lucked out with dry conditions and mild conditions out towards the Rockies and of course we're seeing...

...that winter storm that's gonna impact these coasts.

Let's go ahead and take a look at the forecast.

In fairness to those of us in the broadcasting profession, what are we supposed to do if we get a little bit of water?

If we get a little bit of liquid down the wrong pipe, there needs to be like the international symbol for choking, there needs to be a separate one for...

This actually would be handy because with your kids you wonder, do I need to jump up and save my kids from dying right now?

Or do they just get a tiny bit of milk down the wrong pipe and they're fine.

It just their eyes are watering and they're coughing like crazy.

Right, yeah exactly, that would be handy. But every performer who speaks into a microphone in any realm should have a cough button.

I mean it's so handy.

What are you going to do as a TV meteorologist? You're going to have a big giant novelty button there and you press it and you just stand there in your short skirt until you're done coughing?

Well no, you've probably got a lot of a lear mic or do they talk into like the hangy downy mics?

I don't know, but you got a little battery pack, you got a wire, you got to be able to cut that signal.

Nobody wants to hear that instead you use ladies and gentlemen.
