Yes, I would love to.

Our first one, what advice do you have for connecting to the ancestors we may not know about?

For instance, after taking the DNA test for fun, I discovered that I'm about 12% sub-Saharan African.

As a blue-eyed red hat, this came as quite a shock.

Since then, I've been working tirelessly on my family tree, trying to figure out how this is possible,

and I've come to the conclusion that my grandmother had an affair, meaning that my dad's

real father isn't who everyone thinks he was. The only clue I have is an old black and white

photograph of a famous black baseball player, found mixed in with my grandma's family photos.

I have several DNA matches online with the same last name, some as close as second cousins,

but after almost two years of researching, not a single connection has responded to any of my

messages. So despite all my efforts, I've been unable to connect the dots to clarify any of this.

My dad has always encouraged me to get into genealogy, and about four years ago, he gave me a ton of photos, and I spent the whole day going through them.

I was living in a small apartment at the time, and by the end of the day, I had them all sprawled out all over the place.

I ended up sleeping on the couch that night and at some point I woke up in the middle

of the night to hear someone whispering over and over again.
