Summary

Gene and Randall welcome a return visit from skeptical researcher Bryan Bonner, from Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society, who talks about a variety of paranormal topics, such as the quality of UFO research and evidence and the ongoing MUFON “follies.” Bryan has been examining a wide range of reported paranormal phenomena for over two decades. 0:59.3	But the first thing here is I was mentioning a warranty replacement I'd received from Vizio of what they call a quantum dot LCD TV, quantum dot.
1:13.2	And the reason that I even brought it up is the fact that we use quantum as a buzzword

1:22.4	Oh, it's quantum this, it's quantum that, it's quantum mechanics and all this,
1:28.1	and 99% of the people who use those terms have them to clue what quantum means.
1:35.4	So they've got something here now in newest TV sets called quantum dots.
1:44.7	Okay. Now without mentioning the technology, called quantum dots. Okay?
1:45.5	Now, without mentioning the technology behind it,
1:50.1	basically a Q-L-D-TV is supposed to give us better color.
1:57.3	And it has nothing to do with quantum computing, right, Brian?
2:00.7	Right.
2:01.5	Anytime you hear the word quantum and you'll usually find it in the paranormal slash metaphysical world is basically a way to increase marketing because it sounds sciencey.
2:15.1	Oh, I like the term sciencey.
2:17.7	I mean, that's really the thing is a lot of words have been hijacked that are real science
2:24.3	words that really don't mean what people are claiming they'll mean.
