and today we'll look into a number of stories and issues in the news.

We'll begin with the Democrats in the Texas state legislature, fleeing the state to deny a quorum

to try to stop Governor Abbott's brazen move at Trump's urging to further gerrymine of the state

so that Texas Republicans will have 80% of the power, but only 55% of the vote.

Joining us to discuss Trump's mid-turn election plan to win a Republican majority in the

House before a vote is cast is David Daly, the author of Anti-Democratic, inside the

rights 50-year plot to control American elections, as well as the national bestseller Rat Eft,

Why Your Vote Doesn't Count, which has been credited for kick-stocking the national movement

to reform redistricting. He is the former editor-in-chief of Salon, a senior fellow at Fair Vote,

and has taught political science and journalism as a fellow at Wesleyan University,

Boston College, Smith College, and the University of Georgia. We will discuss his article at the

nation how the GOP hopes to gerrymander its way to a midterm victory. Then as the economy shows

sign of emerging stagplation and recession, we'll examine how the

Democrats can make the economy the issue in the midterms as they failed to do in the last election

when they took credit for an economy that the public wasn't thrilled with.

Joining us is Lloyd Green, an attorney based in New York, who was opposition research

counsel to George H.W. Bush's 1988 campaign and served in the Department of Justice from
