In Utah, first responders are called to a shelter for an infant who

is non-responsive. Over in Florida, a woman is arrested in connection to the death of a child back in June. And we have a

breaking update in the case of Sandra Birchman. We brought you her story back in June

and have learned that law enforcement made an arrest. All of this coming at you right now,

here on Sword and scale daily. On Sunday evening at around 8 p.m. police in Midville, Utah

Utah responded to the Road Home Shelter upon receiving a report about a four-month-old baby that was

unconscious and not breathing. When first responders arrived, they were able to get the child

and transporter to Intermountain Medical Center to receive emergency treatment.

However, shortly thereafter, the child was transported to the primary children's hospital

intensive care unit. At the Road Home Shelter, officers would end up speaking with the individual who initially called 911.

The man, later identified his 28-year-old as Zachary Walton, told officers that he was watching the child for a family friend who was at work.

Now, most in this situation would try to downplay what happened, but Zachary would tell all.

He explained that at around 6 p.m. that evening he

started to grow extremely frustrated with the baby. Zachary stated that the

baby wouldn't stop crying. Wow, big shock there. So he decided to go up to the roof and hit

his vape a couple times, you know, calm down a little bit. And as he made his way to

the elevator, he stated that he thought to himself quote

how do I get her to shut up

instead of trying to Google for answers or reach out to a friend for help

Zachary opted to strike the baby's head against the corner of the elevator.
