Today we're discussing Gao Chengyang, a serial killer from a small village in rural China.

His crimes were so vicious that for years

he was known only as China's Jack the Ripper. Now let's go back to Hong Kong a few days earlier

on August 26, 2016. An unexpected lead brought law enforcement to a small grocery store run by a 52-year-old man named Gao Chengyang.

There they arrested the family man and brought him into custody. His wife, Zhang, wailed as the police took Chengyang away.

He had acted completely normal until authorities took a sample of his DNA.

Then she could tell that something had changed within him.

He knew his time was up.
